Tips for Swinging drum patterns....

No matter how many times I mess with my patterns I can't seem to figure out how to really make my mpc-60 groove. I've got some nice shit by forcing the kicks to 72% or so, leaving the hats and snares to be programmed manually later on......but I want to know of any other techniques one might consider before layind down a groove. Any ideas or tips from fellow beatmakers would be greatly appreciated.

You can hear my latest works from the 1010 (mpc-60 and S950) but maybe it's me.....my shit still doesn't feel groovy enough.

i think it sounds ill, jus continue to experiment till you get exactly what you want, everybody likes there joints with different grooves, jus get it how you want it, if it aint enuff yet, keep trying, also try it without quantize, see if you can jus get the groove you want manually

yeah, if you turn off quantize, just keep tryin till u get that loop right then your set..
sounds good to me your samples sound warm, u runnin any hawrdware compressors ?
