Saludos.

Cycle mode should be really good for this. Load up a bunch of single cycle waveforms and use note repeat and a high tempo. I'm installing the new OS now. Can cycle mode be combined with adjusting the NDC's? If so you could make each chop a different tone and combine that with cycling to get some really nice sequenced sounds.

That sounds like a short cut to creating a synth from a waveform sample. But since you go about using note repeat, can you tweak lfo, osc?!?

With note repeat, you'd be re-triggering at every note repeat event wouldn't you?

Looping a single cycle and then using envelope, lfo, osc, asdr tools would be more efficient for synth tools riding realtime through the loop I would think.

I don't know the tool set in jjos (I have 4k, 2k, triton extreme and sound forge) but I have extensive epx creating synths/pads from cyclic waveforms.

Haha, I'm saying to use both. :)

I'm a little disappointed the arp in doesn't cycle. I'm not sure if this is a bug or intentional.

Subject: Let's make a Synth

sally wrote:BUMP!!!

Turn on my MPC.
Press mode + pad 5 ( Go to Record )
Select: Analog Input
Press press F6 ( Start Record a few seconds/moments for sample1 ) = Recording Noise for sample1

Image

Ok

Go to Trim mode ( mode + pad 6 )

With sample1
EDIT: Normalize 100% for example.

ImageImage

Now
use extract for obtain sample2 ( half of single cycle wave) and sample3 (other half of single cycle wave)

Select containing wave start point L chanel for 00000000 and end point 00000001 = extract for obtain sample2

Select containing wave start point R chanel for 00000000 and end point 000000001 = extract for obtain sample3

Ok ?!!!

Now
Go to Trim edit Combine A + B

Image

Image

Sample2 + Sample3 = sample4 = SINGLE CYCLE

Sample2 + Sample3 = Sample4 = 00000002 end point ( lenght of the sample, view on TRIM mode )

Image

Sample4 + sample4 = sample5 = 00000004 end point
SINGLE CYCLE + SINGLE CYCLE = TWO CYCLES

Image

Sample5 + sample5 = sample6 = 00000008 end point

REPEAT SOMETIME
Sample.... + sample........ = xxxxxxxxxx end point

Sample.... + sample........
= 00000016 end point
Sample.... + sample........
= 00000032 end point
Sample.... + sample........
= 00000064 end point
S
= 00000128 end point
S
= 00000256 end point
S
= 00000512 end point
S
= 00001024 end point
S
= 00002048 end point
S
= 00004096 end point
S
= 00008192 end point
S
= 00016384 end point
S
= 00032868
Sample18 + sample18 = sample19
= 00065736 end point

Image

Now, select sample19 start point 00000000 and end point 44100 and discard ( trim edit )

The result is a sample with 22.050 hz (-herz-) CYCLES per seconds, you see this TONE/NOTE is square Wave, also Sine wave is very possible , other TONES/NOTES and much more!

Now, you know it!!
We can make a WaveForm with....
