How are you using your mpc(60,1000,2000(xl),3000,4000)!

i got a mpc2000 wit max ram


at the moment, that's ALL i have (along with a turntable and amp for sampling), so obviously the MPC is the hub of all activity.

for now, i just make beats and when i want to show people i record it to minidisc wit my minidisc player.

so your saying you can do this on both the classic and the xl. It may sound dumb, but I've never figured out how to use multiple programs. I just got used to one way of working

I have a 1K maxed with RAM. Hooked up to my stereo receiver. Sample any and everything. From tape-cd-wax-radio, etc. Building my computer, getting software. The 1K will soon be a MIDI controller.

Yo, thats all I got, I've already got the 8outs, just trying to figure out what I need next.

I make sample based hip hop beats, so ofcourse my mpc2000 is the center of my production setup. I use it for sampling and sequencing and now I added a micron to my setup for basses and synth leads etc. Starting to add on so I can sequence with the mpc and do some experimentation with keyboards and synths.

I use my 60 for sequencing and sampling in conjunction with outboard synths and other samplers and together with a computer seqeuncer. I have also been using it purely as a production tool (in the audio sense) when mixing other peeps stuff. I run their audio through it (usually a beat) and record the output. That way I can quickly get the MPC converter sound without having to re programme their sh**.

Somtimes I do a whole "song" on the MPC, sometimes I don't touch it for any programming. But if I wanna just chill with my machines - it's the only one that gets switched on.

2000XL - 8 outs - Max RAM = center piece of my cypher

I use the MPC to sequence my sound modules and ASR 10 (all of which run to the UB2222 for audio purposes). I usually multi-sample, sample instrument/vocal loops, and some drums on the ASR. Load other drum samples and one hit instruments to the MPC from my computer. In the computer I use Sound Forge, Recycle, and Wavelab to chop up the samples for the MPC. Then I record from my mixer and my 8 outs to my behringer ADA8000 straight into Nuendo in individual tracks for mixing purposes. Next I record my vocals add any effects/compression/EQing/etc., export as a .wav and voila automatic Plainum Hits LOL

MPC2kxl....used to sequence whatever samples I have inside, from drums to sounds from my K Station, to samples off of records, tapes, cds, whatever....., use it it with the Motif for the extra sounds.....To fatten up my samples I run them into the s900 (disk drive is broken so its no use saving anything), tweak them in there and then sample them into the MPC.....then in the MPC I take those sounds and flip em up crazy...reverse one portion of the sample, then widen the beginning and ending points and reverse it again, a few times perhaps until I get the desired effect...speed up or slow down the sound and freak it using the 16 levels...Still learning the sickness on the Motif...that motherfckers a baaaadddbooyyy.....

i use a 2kxl for only sequencing and the pads for drums... other than that it gets no use.. the asr got most of my love..

oh, because i used to work with a guy named gabe who had an mpc 60, and he was the beatmaker in a hiphop group called Arctectonics...

but, after i posted that, i read some more of your posts, and i realized that you don't seem too american, so you must not be gabe...

arctec is the name I came up with for my company here in Sweden.
