A friend sold all his UAD and Pro Tools stuff and switched to the Harrison Mixbus software! Because he could get better "analog" sound with the integrated tape saturation and compressors compared with the UAD stuff!

I found out that you can use Jack Audio for routing between DAW's and apps, you can even route over Ethernet between different computers ( Net Jack ), let's say a little Linux computer running Mixbus and a Mac or Windows PC, similar to MADI.

The very highend and expensive Harrison Xrange works similar!

Btw, the Mixbus DAW is only 200$, the effects are part of it..
