Zoning Feature?

I have a sample chopped up in the zone feature already into 8 pieces how i want it...how do i assign each chop to one pad?.....my bad if this is a dumb question but i havent figured it out

After you've done your thing in zone press Edit. It should ask you if you want to make a new program with these sounds. If you pressed no or want to do it a different way you can just assign like normal.

ok and after i have done that how do i assign it to a pad?

After you do what? If you choose yes it's already assigned. If you chose no, assign it yourself. If you don't know how to assign read the manual.

one more question....how can i make the pad stop when i hit another pad? like i dont want it to play the whole sample..i just want it to play and when i hit another pad for it to stop and play the new pad...

Dude, I know you might be new to the game and everything but there are some basic questions already answered in the manual. You really should take a peek, actually a couple of peeks and see what's going on between those pages. It'a free download and it's your gear, why not study up on how to use it and perform the basics. Then come to use with stuff you cannot find in the manual.

You might get a hard time from peeps not wanting to answer basic question cause some of us have read the manuals (some of us care to know our gear backwards and forwards) and know wehn a question like that is being asked.

Go to Params in Program. Make sure you are editing the pad that will mute another the other pad. Lower right corner it probably says Poly. Select that and press open window. Getting a little tired so follow Lamp's advice.

Trust me i have read the manual many times but i did not see that in the manual...well maybe i shall take another look...thanks anyway

I try to read EVERY page cause I never know when I will need that particular function again. I don't just do a quick scan of what I'm looking for while it's crunch time.

So when crunch time inevitably comes you know you've seen it in the manual SOMEWHERE and u go back and find it (you remembered). That's how I've been doing ALL my manuals. Even if I can't figure it out I keep reading and playing with my machine until it finally becomes clear. Some stuff aint in the manuals though, you are right, but this one was.

I'm not trying to be a prick, I just want peeps to finally UNDERSTAND that the manual is not "good for nothing". It's a losing battle I know but it pays off every now and then.

yeah man i understand where you are coming from but realisticly a lot of time when you are trying to learn something new you just wanna get right to it and not really read thoroughly through the manual. Is like when you get a video game system whats the first thing you do? hook it up and start playing with it and you dont read the manual...same situation here but i def. understand where you are coming from and appreciate the help.

I understand and agree with you. The first thing I do (I'm a figthing video game addict and NO ONE can deal with my VOLDO and they really don't want none of TAKI on Soul Calibur 2) is go into options so I can see what my buttons are but maybe that's just me. I play in the options menu like 10-15 minutes before I play the game.

Ur right though, I should be more understanding, bump that, read the manual, just kidding man. Stay with them hot beats aiight..
