MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

Could I record a voice track into the 5000, export that to Logic, and then re-import it to the MPC? (Not sample, but import digitally)
I have no experience with the 5000, but since I'm getting more done on my new MPC (1000) than I used to in DAW, I'm wondering how much I actually could get done with the nice big MPC. ;) Although I'd really like to be able to edit vocals in DAW and yet have them internally in the MPC for when I'm changing studios etc...

Yes you can, but why not record it in logic then take it to the MP?

If you are using JJ OS2xl then it has more capabilities than the 5k, so depending on how you use it you would lose some features.

If you are using the Akai OS then movong up to the 5k is like being on steriods.

Thanks!
Yes, recording to logic seems like the best path although I tend to not listen and just mess with stuff.

Guess I'll be on steroids then!
