Yo, I've read all of the stickied threads here on HDDs and RAM for the MPC1000, but just for piece of mind, I'd like somebody that might know something I don't about MPCs to confirm that these should all work before I go ahead and purchase them.

RAM - Should I be put off by the lower price at all? Most of the others are £20-30.

HDD -This is actually the only drive I can find around the 80-100GB mark as well as being IDE. Most are 160GB. Would the MPC1000 take that?

Sorry if I'm posting what you've all read a million times before, but cheers!

No. It's RAM. The lower price ones work just as fine as the more expensive ones. The only difference is price.

Yes. If you need a higher capacity hard drive, you may be able to find one for sale on eBay.

Well yeah, I was just wondering if one was more reliable than the other, but okay.

Oh, awesome. I just read in the stickied thread that anything over 100GB wasn't tested so far, but I guess that was 8 years ago.

Cheers for the response.

That's the system limitation. Can't go any higher than that no matter how large the drive is.
