MPC 2500+Reason Audio Interface

I can get my MPC to sync with Reason no problem.

The issue is getting the sound from Reason into the MPC.

My current setup is MPC 2500JJOSXL midi to usb to laptop, using the laptop onboard sound with ASIO drivers. No issues there.

My current work around is to connect the headphone from the laptop to the record in and using input thru which again works but the sound does hum.

So I was told I need to get an audio interface i.e the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.



So can someone clarify if this is correct, obviously the interface is connected to usb via laptop. So does this take the sound from the laptop i.e Reason and then I can connect it via the line outs to the MPC?

Plus what cables do I need?

you will need 1/4 inch cables, just connect from the output of your audio interface to the input of your mpc and sample the sound the you want and viola!!
