Changing functions of numeric pad ?

Hi,

I've read somewhere that it's possible to assign a function to the numeric pad.
For example : my Window button is closed to death, and I want to assign a number of the numeric pad to the window function ,
Anybody know if that is possible and the way to do this ?

dont take my word for it, but i think that you may just need to soldier on a new tact swtich, changing the numeric buttons to something else only applies to the pads i think.

someone else might know for sure though.
