Will I be able to use the soundcard within Renaissance to record other instruments in my main DAW? ie:Cubase
Or will I have to use a separate card to lay down guitars/vocals in my DAW

Akai hasn't released any info regarding using the MPC Ren/Studio's hardware with other DAWs/software.

But I certainly hope the sound card and the control surface of the MPC Ren can be used with 3rd party software. It will only add to the growing list of selling points IMHO.

the MPC Renaissance will work as a soundcard for other daw, and as your main soundcard if you want. I'm using one to listen to iTunes right now, actually.

Dan, another question in this range. Does the sound emulations of the 3000/60 render with the bounce down to individual wav tracks, or any kind of bounce down inside the box, before moving them into another DAW. Thanks ahead Dan.

it'll do individual wavs, or a stereo mix, and you can select whether you want the MPC3000 or 60 emulation on when you bounce.

so it will not render as it's playing? you can only get the vintage sound when bouncing?

Yes you can, I remember Dan saying you can get the 3000/60 sound from the Main Outs as well.

naw you definately get sound out of the main outs, that wasn't my concern. I just didn't knw that if you bounced down, that emulated sound would be on your wave files or not. But it an option, so one of my major concerns are gone, and also my second major concern, you can use the rens sound card as your DAW's sound card. Im sorry but Im getting one the first month they drop, I needs that.
