How many actual professional producers who use an MPC chop loops, slice, and sequence all in the MPC without software, if any?

Prepare yourself for the onslaught mate. A bit of a silly question I think.

Most professionals use pro tools, but iv never personally met a professional who uses an mpc at all. I know someone like Dilla, or Damu used pro tools, both being MPC artists. But does that count for the majority of MPC users who can be considered professional?

I don't think any 'professional' producer is gonna be averse to software.

From reading the posts from the cats on these boards (most of which wouldn't say they're professional producers) I know software is where it's at for tracking out, mixing and mastering, so if most these dudes use it you can infer that people making their living off this shit use it.

Dj premier was producing straight off an MPC before software and his stuff sounds as well put together as someone who uses software today, point being its a legit question.

I guess Someones having a bad day. Obviously im not to knowledgeable on MPC's my first thought was to sign up on this forum to find information about them, addressing people who would have answers.

Well you have to understand that producer's nowadays gotta make 20 beats a day, so software provides the speed to accomplish that. Back then, it was the dopest beat that got plenty of play, so lots of love and time went into the craft.

The professional enviroment today is mostly about disposable beats, thats why the classics remain classics today. I remember more the one-hit wonders of the 80's and 90's than I do for the one-hit wonders of 2009.

I still produce within the box, and a few others here too. But at the end of the day they're all tools and its how you use them that counts. If a beat today sounds disconnected is because the producer is a soul-less faggoid and likes his ass licked by cats while rubbing icy-hot on his balls.

Want what a Maschine or 5k?
If it's the 5k they are pretty cheap used right now and will be even cheaper once the Ren drops so you can easily make it happen.

Just keep your eyes open for deals.
