weird problem with first two pads and bank 1

i have an mpc60 ii. The issue i'm having is, my first two pads on the bottom left don't respond when in the first bank (bank light off) but they respond for every other bank. Can't be the pads or the switches because they're obviously working fine in other banks. I'm in the sounds page and the pad name won't switch when hitting them unless i go to another bank. Can this be a software issue or is there a setting i may have hit accidentally that i don't know about? it's driving me crazy. anybody have any ideas?

Check your output routing for the pads on that bank
Check your panning for those pads on that bank
Check your slider settings for first pad on that bank

its not so much an audio problem. its a problem with the commands on the screen not responding to a pad press... thz for the suggestions btw

so hihat 1 and snare 1 dont work but drm 1 and drm 2 work? that is odd... I think in one of the options like "other" or something like that.. you may find a reset option that resets the settings that get saved when the machine is turned off.. try doing that.

What OS are you running and which screen in the Sounds page are you actually looking at?

well with two banks.. i am guessing an older OS.. probably 2.12

That's what I was thinking which makes it very odd what he's describing.

He probably should go to the Yahoo Group and download the v2 manual then post back.

On the v2 software some screen follow pads and some you have to scroll to change pads but he's saying 2 pads don't change?

Really need to know what screen he's looking at and on what OS to understand what he's seeing.

im using 3.10 guys. I'm gonna try resetting the machine and i'll let u know.. i appreciate the help

i have more than two banks. everything is fine on banks 2-4. sorry i didnt specify that. the screen im looking at is the screen where you change the pad from poly to mono, set the cutoffs, and tweak attack and decay. You know how u can see the pad name change when u hit a different pad? well it responds to everything except pads one and two in bank 1

I have a similar problem.

I recently... Downgraded? to a 60 from a 2kxl.

I'm running os3.10 on a 60II, and the top 8 pads don't respond on bank 2. It's not an audio issue, as you can see when you're assigning sounds, those pads wont even trigger the menu screen, but they will in bank A. Any thoughts?

I figured it out. Go to "Assign pads to note numbers" you can select the note manually by placing the cursor over the pad number "ie B13". Do this to select the pads that are "not working" Then place the cursor over the "note" parameter, and you can assign it. Then it will work.
