Hey Dan just an idea most mpcs have linear curves on the amp, filter and aux envelopes. Does the new mpc have concave curves or can they be added at a later date?

Plus along time in the 4k forums we requested filters that actually showed the frequency of the cut. Since the Ren is software sequencer will it show the actual frequency like say battery does? I understand that we can use third party effects that can do these things but I wonder if the stock parameters come with it build in?

Lastly will it be possible to have an envelope per layer instead of just one envelope per pad? I understand that we can use simultaneous function to layer three pads with different envelopes but if I could do it at the layer level I wouldn't need to use it.

Thanks in advance some old ideas from years on the forum. 8)

This would be really good! Something like a small simple parametic EQ type stuff. Maybe a parametic EQ for each track like in most DAWs?

all of those are good ideas, but not planned for 1.0.

I like the multiple envelope curve idea, and I think it is pretty easy to implement, but I need to figure out how to work it in the UI.

you should post those in the feature request thread. keep them all in one place.

Will do in the future. Those were some old requests I remembered from the 4k forum. I may just copy and paste some requests from there into Ren requests thread now that I think about that you guys could consider for future updates you know. The curves work great for bass, kicks and synthetic sounds once they are looped. It is like having Logic's Ultrabeat in a mpc.

Thanks Lamp for keeping it civil. 8)

I'm in a different time zone so I had to get my rest.

I and everyone are going to add more suggestions for from my point of view not only to bring the Ren to previous mpcs standards but to take it beyond.

Concave or Bezel curve would give us a lot more design and control of looped sounds to create customized instruments and used in layers would give the user a lot of options. A lot of the best ideas can come from what is currently on the market the designers fortunately are wise enough to not try to reinvent the wheel but improve on it. A lot of former hardware designers and keyboard patch designers started with hardware samplers and then moved into software over the pass 20 years using the advances in cpu technology to give them more parameter to sculpt their sounds. We are using technology to create music and technology progresses. Nothing stands still. At the same time a lot of workstations have more and more powerful processors installed within like fathom, sp1 drummachine and such cuz powerful software engines need a powerful CPU to run it.

On another note current mpcs are wonderful.
