well, yes you can do this - but there are a lot of limitations & things to consider.
incoming midi can be routed to control a qlink slider as you state, but the function of the slider will vary based on what screen you are on in the mpc.
for example: if you set Q1 (slider 1) to control TUNE, then that is only active in the MAIN, NEXT SEQ, and TRACK MUTE screens (a basic limitation of the qlinks in os 2xl). so if you jump to another screen, the pitch bend will no longer take effect. even more problematic is that whatever screen you are on will now be responding as if you are tweaking the slider when you use your midi pedal, and that has different effects depending on the screen. in the PROGRAM screen, for example, this could accidentally change PROGRAM parameters, change the program from MONO to POLY, etc... in the TRIM screen it can be used to set your sample start and end times... so there are a lot of possibilities of screwing up your project if you are not careful. this is true of all the MIDI to BUTTON stuff in the OS.
JJ OS2XL will respond to incoming PITCH BEND messages and it can adjust a samples pitch based on this. you can even adjust the sensitivty (bend range). this will also work in all screens. this is probably the best way to do what you want but you will need to find a pedal that outputs pitch bend data instead of just midi CCs.
otherwise, if you can live with staying on the MAIN, NEXT SEQ, and TRACK MUTE screens while changing your pitch with your pedal, then a regular midi CC pedal will work.
