mpc freezes when I try to load sequences from the zip drive
she makes Thad only by sequences (all or single). The programs can be loaded without problems.

I have switch´t the ID switch to 6 and then put back to 5. Now I get the info "the ID port 6 is not found" but I can access all ports to drive on the ID.

I can also access to all ID ports from 1 to 7 on the drive ..... only 6 will be missed

hope its enough info...

I hope someone can help me

This happens often with Iomega 100 mb zip scsi drives. If its snapping, then you need to get another drive. If its only not reading sometimes, try either replacing the cable or turning it around.

I believe scsi ID 6 is actually the mpc itself... try setting the scsi drive (on the back of the drive) to ID 1...

also, if you hear clicking and the drive does nothing... that is probably the click of death. All zip drives have this problem eventually... iomega had a lawsuit back in the day because of it.

if it is loading sequences but not programs... maybe it is because the zip disk is old or corrupted. I always suggest ejecting the disk before turning the power off the zip drive.
