well, I'm a little biased, but I like them a lot. They're loud as hell, have good bass, and sound a hell of a lot better than the 6" ones I had previously.

they're re-packaged alesis monitors... so you can always just read the reviews on those...

Prolinear 820s. Driver for the woofer is different, but specwise is the same. I've actually never a/b'ed the two to see how different it is.

Studio pictures

I move the v-synth around and the MPC gets put in a wheeled stand often.

Master in the Roland VS2000cd. They sound wonderful at 24bit 44.1khz
I prefer the vs units to computers because you simply turn on and go.

Ever since I got the MPC 4000 I do not use the SU700 as much. However I will keep the SU because it has great effects.
My next purchases will be a Moog Minitaur, a quality bass guitar and a Yamaha mox6.

man I have been following this thread for at least 4 years and there is always some dopeness in your guys' studios. It lead me to go all hardware at one point and since then have sold it all and gone back to all software and I still enjoy this thread lol. Question for you guys though what makes you continue to use mpcs rather than something like Maschine? Is it a comfort thing or do you guys dislike maschine? Debating on the Mpc studio, fixing my 2000 that has been busted for a long time or grabbing Maschine actually

maybe. Its more of a workflow thing to me. I really **** with Addictive drums Giest and Kong in Reason. I just want something else cool to play with and kinda miss having the mpc that I never really got a chance to get comfortable on around. I bought the 2000 and I zapped it with a month of getting it 3 years ago and never fixed it. May just get another one and this time make sure its upgraded but idk.

I always found the 4k to be complicated. More so than I want it to be. Oddly enough I would get a 5k because I think its just gorgeous if I had the cash to drop on one today.
