help with timing correct/swing jj2xl

I can't figure out why the swing setting wont work for me since ive upgraded to jjos2xl. I try to apply the swing but when i go to the step view to see if my notes have shifted, there is no change in timing. i've tried the following: "do it", "all tracks" and ive tried to select the specific notes i want to correct....nothing works.

am i missing something blatantly obvious?

Because of the Strength parameter maybe? Is it too low? Raise it a bit! 0= no quantize 100=full quantize.

swing is different from "start later / earlier"

The latter you can see on the notes timing. Swing is heard not seen.

You would see it in Step Edit.
