Just like the title indicates...I am back on the MPC 3000LE (Limited Edition No# 1325) after 6 years of using various model MPCs (2000, 2000XL, 1000, 2500, and 5000).

I found it here in Japan...Mint (A condition)...it even had two layers of protective plastic covering the LCD. Whomever owned this baby, took excellent care of it. Looks like it never left the studio and barely used...not a finger print on it...not even on the pads.

Now its time to mod it with 32 MB of memory and install black fat pads. Looking to buy or build an external SCSI CF card drive. This baby will sit just above my ASR-10.

:P Just a kid with a new toy sharing my excitement.

It wasn't cheap especially since I paid in Yen and not dollars. With the dollar being so weak, it cost me $1500 when a few years ago, it would have been $1200. But when you see this beauty up close, you would swear its prevoius owner used it for a week, put it back in its box, and stored it for 12 years, only to be sold to me :) It only has some finger prints on it because I touched it.

Pretty much all music production hardware is labeled in English to include the operating system regardless of where you purchased it. The only Japanese is on the back detailing the specs of the internal power supply.
