The title is worth a  i know

but let's look at the facts,

Serato and Ableton are partnering already with the Serato Bridge stuff, Akai is a major supporter of Ableton with it's APC controllers.

NI lacks a proper DAW, but Bitwig, the following major Ableton contender shares the same color design as NI and is situated in Berlin as well, currently a lot of DJ's who also get into producing do favor the Ableton/Serato stuff due to it's integration and lack of features of the Maschine software.

My prediction is that NI will team up with Bitwig to integrate Maschine into the DAW, as this way they can surpass the Ableton/Serato combo and make it more attractive in to DJ+ market.

Now there is Akai, what will Akai do? Is it possible that we see a integration of the new MPC and Ableton/Serato, maybe something like the Melodyne integration into Studio one, a tighter integration beyond VST into Ableton?

Xparis, if you read this, what do you think?

The key to success is not limiting the integration with one daw,

All ni need to do is make tracktor a vst.. so you could use something like the s4 inside of maschine. or cubase logic etc.. I'm really interested in bigwig... I hope these guys get it off and blazing..

I'd prefer a proper integration, VST is a stoneage technology. A window popping over another is what most people hate about working ITB, and a reason for many to use Reason ;)
