SU700 vet turned MPC 500 virgin

Just saying Peace to all.Been lurking for a hot minute. Once I get settled,I will join in some beat battles. I listened to a few cats beats on here so I feel right at home.Ill Green has some good material which made me want to officially join .My main challenge is mastering the sequencer on the 500.Still leaning on my SU700 for faster workflow for now.Both machines are somewhat similar just different terminology /jargon. Enough babbling for now.

Once i got my MPC4000 the SU700 has been used very little. I enjoy some things about the SU like how easily you edit samples and it finding the beginning of the samples. Also the effects in the SU are great.
I had all of the knobs on my SU replaced and that made a major difference in usage. I also got the analog output expansion. However the effects do not affect the sound out of the expansion outs only the main outs. I give the SU its props.
The reason why the MPC (4000 at least) is better is that it has a great sequencer for itself and other units. Plus you can play the MPC like its an instrument a little easier than the SU if you are a live performer.
I remember it took me a minute to learn the SU and the load times didn't help much. So I put in a zip drive and it was a bit faster. Who knows when the zip will fail though. I don't complain though because I got my su very cheap.
