MPC 500 as MIDI controller?

Hi guys... I have read this topic here a few months ago....But I have to open it again... the last way to do it doesn't work...

I would like to use MPC 500 as a midi controller with Groove Agent in Cubase 5.

Can somebody explain more detailed?

turn pad to sampler off

wire like this

midi out mpc------> midi in interface
midi in mpc-------->midi out interface

now set up your midi preferences in your daw if you have to.

also, the search function works great. similar stuff has been posted alot of times.

Thank you, Damien.... I know...and this easy way seems to be dead... It doesn't work...no midi information recieved... I am sure I've done everything to make it working...
