Any Local Meetups?

Hey,

I am in Chicago (suburbs), and I was wondering if there are ever any meetups in real life?!

I used the search, but did not find anything. I think it would be badass to rent a room or convention center, and get a bunch of mpc heads together for trading, selling, listening to beats, etc.

We could even hire someone who works on MPCs, and pay for trouble shooting on the spot?

What do you think?

it has been tried before, but never really happened. i think a few heads met up at a concert or festival one time, but thats about it.
everyone lives pretty far away from eachother, would be pretty cool though.

a mini namm with a lot of vintage, used and niche stuff .. or the pax prime of hip hop gear.. or the type of gear we all like... what ever all that is called.

We could do an MPC buy-out from the pawn shops.

There would also be strippers and dank everywhere!

pretty awesome ideas guys... dont forget though... it will be hard as hell to move it to the location... but we need a sh!t load of vinyl to dig through too... hell, cassettes too.. why not.

the customize people could be there.. with custom gear to show off

that would be fun... it would likely never happen though.

it's a nice idea. doing something over here would be easier i guess. considering i think England is smaller than California alone (just googled it = half the size of Texas)

but touring the same production ! gear and personnel . that would be the dream. but without any money ? Akai wanna sponsor a miniNAMM tour?

There is a VGS, Video Game Summit every year in the summer, and the promoter rents a hotel conference room in the basement, with tons of people, etc.

I was at it last summer, and was surprised how many people came, and how fun it was.

I imagine if we can get enough people, this could become a thing.....

l.a. west coast is exactly what your talking about...record collectors/beatmakers/djs/emcees...dopeness ..they have been doing them in differant locations too!!!

Wow... there was one today in LV nice. I will keep an eye out for the next LA one.
