2500 Record In

the manual says balanced. but i can't find any rca to 1/4 inch balanced cables. do they exist? going from my vestax mixer rca out into mpc record in 1/4. thanks fam!

u can use unbalanced no probs.

oh and to clarify: if you'd use balanced cables they'd need to be balanced on both ends. RCA is not, so there's no point in using balanced on mpc.

so RCA -> 1/4 (TR) cable is what you'd need.

thanks for the clarification! i've been using a monster rca -> 1/4 tr so at least that was the correct purchase.


i've tracked my beat tape out from my stereo outs -> apogee duet 2 using (2) 1/4" tr cables. my boy told me that a 1/4" TRS -> XLR would create a more accurate signal. are xlr's really a better signal transmitter than 1/4"? i know that using an unbalanced cable from a balanced output source definately doesn't help my sound :/

even if the unbalanced cable is 9 feet in length and is near a lot of other power supplies/cables? thanks

could you just briefly elaborate on why audio cables shouldn't run parallel to power cables? and this + formation? confused.



do you still lose audio quality if you use a 9th foot (or any lengthy) balanced cable like you do when you used the unbalanced? or is longer length cables losing quality only an unbalanced cable issue? i just thought i should buy longer cables to have that extra length.
