So my MPD26 likes to double up notes a lot. Like, I'll hit a pad and instead of a single note it will act like I have note repeat on for a second. Also, sometimes the pads are sensitive, sometimes they are not. It gets really frustrating, and it makes finger drumming very difficult. I've tried screwing with the pad threshold and sensitivity, but nothing seems to work. For anything speedy or improved my MPD26 is pretty much useless. Velocity is so difficult to pin down that I've given up and just use it at full level all the time. Is there a way to fix this issue? Could I have a defective unit? I've only had it since Christmas.

I had a similar issue once and I determined that it was latency. My computer needed a reboot because something was jacked up drive-wise. Once I got it resolved, I was good to go. But make sure it's not that before you do more serious trouble-shooting.

i have the same problem with my mpd26. its so hard to hit and my beats are always late on my DAW. im using FL studio. i dont know if the pads are really hard to hit, if it the original feel because this is my first ever controller. ive seen videos on youtube and they seem to have a very light feel on their mpd26.

please help!
thanks
