breaks 80bpm and lower

any recommendations? been on the hunt for the 'perfect' break for a good 5hrs now. Working on this fairly simple beat (78bpm) but cant find a break slow enough to slide in there.

take the ones borat suggested... chop them into individual hits... then pitch them down like ill green says..

it's 2012, not 1988... breaks shouldn't be for simply looping... that's quite lazy for a beatmaker to do these days... just chop some drums and sequence the hits as needed.

that statement is way to absolute IMO. It depends on the whole track. Think about a loop in the background just to fill up choppy drums/samples or really nasty collages of loops. I wonder why I never heard anything like the "Pauls Boutique" or "It takes a nation.." again. I know its not possible to official release this because of the copyright law but who cares about copyright law on soundcloud & co.

I usually get unusual results when pitching down samples. Immediately the top end gets shaved off and eventually the original sample becomes a basterdized version of itself. On the other hand I get good results when pitching down melodic chops, like main loops - less choppy chops.

I know the feeling man, i get stuck for breaks at lower tempos that i DONT have to pitch down. i had the prob last night, beat is 52.8 bpm with a 4(3) hihat pattern. finding a break for it was impossible i just made a really nice kit from a good break i pitched down and layered with the usual suspects
