Running off a 12v power supply now.....battery is on it's way from china.

I'm confident as well....getting close now. The 12v power supply is like a laptop charger adapter.

use a 240 volt converter (aus - what you guys use 210?) and a 12 volt batery pack like your running it off your car.

I got my 4000 running portable, had to carry a diesel generator with me though....a gallon of fuel lasted about 2 minutes....just messin around (it's late...lol). That's dope though, makes me kind of wish I would have held on to my 1000 now...would be nice to have a portable MPC, especially the 1000.

yeah but the problem is, you need the battery to power the machine at 240 (or 120) .. that takes a lot of juice.

Where as.. the mpc itself runs on 12 volts... it has it's own converter to switch the wall power voltage to the amount it needs... bypassing that would mean you only need to power a 12 volt machine.

Or yeah... get a generator and some dryer ducting to vent out the exhaust.

Does it only require 12v? Sometimes there are multiple taps on the transformer, for 5v, 12v, -12v etc.

I don't really have the time to look at my mpc1000 now, but I did power an EMX from a 6c lipo battery and it worked really well. It might not be too difficult.

I don't know why the OP is all into PM msgs. Sounds like a scam or a sales tactic

12 volt battery, removed internal converters, plug in battery?

obviously this would involve some removal of parts and or soldering. so i am actually very interested to see how it worked out for the OP!

LOL internet is always scared of being scammed. An aftermarket power supply converts the 12v in these various voltages.

That's the thing though...we are not the "internet" but real folks. We sit in front of a computer and fart into a chair cushion just like everyone else. Unless this is a product that you're going to manufacture and sell for a profit (like envision's 2000 screens) it really doesn't make sense to have all the cloak and dagger secrecy. There's obviously interest in the outcome, so it this is a how-to for folks to source their own parts and do it themselves, I'm sure we'd all would like to read about the process as it evolves.

If you are producing a kit to sell for a profit, cool beans...no one will fault ya for it. But in that case you shouldn't be giving out info via PM either...so I'd bet that's where the confusion is stemming from. Just my two pennies.

Either way, we're rootin' for ya...
