weed can help u hear shit and flip shit but sometime u'll make some shit u think is good when ur lean but when that shit wear off its some wack shit.

but yeah sometimes u make some ill shit that y may not of made if u was not off the herbs.

but dont be down on urself cos u can find some shit u like, think about shops like a1 records where they sort thru specific types of records to find the type of shit producers like.

so it may be u need to get access to some more inspiring sound sources, i suggest checking out comps like soulmans series or kon and amir.

as u know these cats are hardcore diggers so they'll give u an albums worth of sample friednly material.

Thanks. I've been buying lots of records lately anyway and studying how my favourite producers flip shit. That's helping me out a lot. I'm just listening these days anyway because I don't have time to make beats because of studying

get some of the classics that sparked the idea of hip hop beats.
Those breaks work. Ur gonna flip em ur own way, so don't worry about not being original, because ur flippin a sample thats been flipped.. so **** what!?!
It's about practice isn't it?

also if u dont have time to make beats ur workflow may need refining cos i can sit at machine and make a beat from scratch in 5 mins and it be dope and inspired.

or i can sit down for 15 mins and make 3 to 4 beats cos hopw my setup is i can get in and get out quick
