How do people use the Tap Tempo Repeat Button?

Hi just wondering the different creative uses of the this button, do people use it frequently when making drums?
What are the benefits, Drawbacks?
Do you feel it takes away a natural feel of manually inputting the drums yourselves? How do you cure a feel of sterility.
Do you's use it for drum rolls? Kick patterns? Hi Hat patterns?

Please tell me as many uses for this button, and not necessarily when making drums.

tap tempo will match your songs bpm to that of a break. you tap along with the break or whatever and the mpc will give you the bpm of that ish.

i use it to place drums , and hi hats, just press the button and press a drum pad at the same time and it will repeat it, i'm not sure if you can fix the drums in step recording or not havent got that ffar yet

I use it for rolls, stutters, and at fast tempos for a kind of phase/chorus effect.

the tap tempo is used on a lot of down south records. i couldn't see myself making music without it.

yall are getting tap temp and note repeat confused....

The tap tempo and note repeat button is one and the same. If you tap it you can calculate tempo.... if you hold it while pressing a pad, the note repeats. If you tap it during the count in when recording or overdubbing you won't have to hold it down... what ever pad you tap will repeat (freeing up your hands in case you want to change the timing related to note repeat). If you hold note repeat and press shift while a sequence is playing it gives you the same effect.

you know what i forogt im not using a 2000, on the 3000/60 you hold down the timing correct button in rec mode to do the note repeat and the tap tempo button is totally seperate, my bad. =)
