HAHAHAHA. that;'s true. The play button would stick though and the screen was all messed up as well. it wasn't even the xl, it was the old school one wth the 3.5 disk.
Made a nice load bang. I have an old 707 I can use as a bird feeder. Then I can blow up the birds with fireworks. YHEA!!!

I thought I shared this story before? Humm... I guess not.
When AMIC was closing my boss and I threw out 4 2KXL's that were broken. Only one had a working LCD and the rest had other problems. Since I had just gotten my 4K two days prior I guess I was still in a euphoric state that I was not thinking properly. Some mexican temp workers grabbed them from the dumpster and took them to be sold as scrap metal.
Damn, I hate thinking about how I could have fixed them and still sold them on ebay for a profit. I even cleaned out the parts room in the service repair area and gave 2 2KXL Special Edition covers to David Whittle.
