mpc program

hello, can someone tell me what must i do to set my pads where i control the length of the sound coming out...ex:i dont want the entire sound of a pad to play when i press it but i want the sound to stop as soon as i release the pad?

go to program mode, select the sample/pad, set it to NOTE ON instead of ONE SHOT.
