3.11 or 3.16 e-proms

I recently copped a 3000 that is running os 3.03, and I was looking to get 3.11 or 3.16 chips (since I see that the 3.5s are not being shipped out). Anyone know where I can get them or anyone have a set they're looking to move?

I don´t know about the 3.16, but aren´t they just on floppy?

You might get lucky, sometimes you find people selling of chips from mpcs they are dismantling and breaking for parts. I wouldn't bother going any where near 3.16 as this is also Rohans product. Stick with the genuine akai 3.11 and you'll be fine.

The ROM images for OS3.11 and OS3.12 are available to download for free at the MPC 3000 yahoo group. You would need the appropriate hardware to burn these files onto EPROMS.

There were not many 3.16 ROMS created/sold, and it does not improve enough to warrant searching for a burned copy of these.

Thanks guys...I see that VST has the 3.11 chips for much cheaper than Forat. Hopefully someday in the future Rohan is back up and running so I can get my hands on that 3.5 set. Thanks again!
