can anyone help ?

ok, you stated it used to say mpc and now it just says removable disk? what it really sound like to me is you are forgetting to select usb on the mpc. go to mode + pad2 or pad3 then select F4 (usb). if that is not done, your computer will not recognize the mpc.

Maybe the card is bad, not formatted, corrupt, bad loose cable?

it came up with "CARD FULL" during saving, froze, then next ting i know it wont show.

I guess, a incomplete wav file or something has corrupted the card. It ws formatted, i format all my CF cards as soon as they out the packet.

Loose cable would mean either 1) mpc internals are falling apart or 2) the CF card reader i had has a bad usb cable. but i swapped cable and same error.

I just assume it ****. My sister is a photographer and has experience with overwriting CF cards and recovering them, she has proper recovery software.

If she cant recover it my guess will be to re-formatt and try again to recover.

Yeah I've ran across corrupt wave files before and they can stop the whole operation in it's tracks. I would take all the wave files to a wave editor and resave as wave file, and that works for me. I also don't save metadata in the wave.
