How do you get your sounds and samples onto your MPC 4000.
And what do you suggest to get for a good turntable.
Whats the easiest way to do this? Like Cd, Usb? Turntable? Help?

Don't take it personally when someone in here screams at you for asking this question about adding sounds. lol
I am a big fan of the Stanton Str8-100, because of the amount of pitch control, connectivity, and the great torque. The sound obviously is in the needle. I also own various Stanton needles.
Sometimes I sample straight into the analog input from my mixer. However if you want to load a bulk amount of samples then simply do what you do on your computer and load them to a thumb drive. Then connect the thumb drive to the MPC.
I have an akai z4 also(it is the sampler that is inside the MPC4000) which has one thing the MPC4000 does not have and that is the ability to load sounds from a cd easily. It will automatically know that a new sample has begun when ther is a gap in the sound. so you don't have to press start and stop. So it is actually easier for me to transfer samples via thumb drive from akai to akai unit. or just play them in and then chop them.
I do not have many sample cd's though I tend to sample my own music. That is my method.
Peace
IAn

Im extremely new to this, but hey you gotta start somewhere lol.
Asking you guys for help is a lot more effective then just reading the manual alone.
Thanks!

not true. the manual isn't gonna ever call you a lazy lady's private parts for not even trying...

why are people so afraid of the manual? if the manual had a facebook page would you be it's friend?

The manual shows you how to sample. You gotta press the buttons and go through the actions while you read them, stuff will start to become clear as a bell.
Aksys can get the samples from your computer to 4k via usb.

There's no "easy" way, just "ways".

I've always wondered why people ask what's the EASIEST or EASY way to do stuff?
I'm not coming at you but people seem to not want to put work in to get the music they want, u have got to put in work. The manual is the starting place, and you said you've been going through it so that's a GOOD start. :D
