Can't see wave form in sample trim mode.

Sometimes when I record a sample I cant see the waveform when I go into trim mode and have to use trial and error when chopping it to the exact sample I need. WWhy could this be happening?

most likely it is because you didn't sample it loud enough... very quiet samples sometimes dont show a waveform...

for example.. lets say you sample in a drum loop or a drum break.. well you often can easily see the kick and snare... but sometimes the high hats are quieter so you wont see those.

basically this doesn't matter... go and cut the sample by ear.

It might be that (for whatever reason) the MPC only recorded one side (right side) and in trim screen you look at the left side of the stereosample. There is a parameter you can change to view the other side in the Trimscreen.

I'm clowning with you younganton. It may very well be what D and P stated in their earlier posts. Did you try any of that yet? If it is sampling only one side, maybe one side isn't plugged in all the way or a bad cable.
Or if the cable is good, try turning up the record gain and/or the source volume and see if you can get a louder signal going in.
