Synching play on my Roland MC-505 to my MPC2000.

Im new to this site. This is probably pretty easy to do with a MIDI chord but I was wondering if anyone has done it already and can save me looking through the manuals. Right now im having to press the start buttons at the same time on both machines and its pretty much inpossible to press it EXACTLY at the same time so that the loops dont eventually go out of sync. Thanks.

a MIDI cable is essential if you want the 505 to synchronise with the MIDI clock of the MPC.

Yeah, MIDI is the only way you're gonna properly sync anything with the mpc... However, I remember that the MC-303 had all kinds of sync issues (even when using midi) and it would always go offbeat eventually when it shouldn't have... It may be that the entire Roland MC series is just buggy and will never stay perfectly on tempo no matter what... I only tried with the 303 though... And I don't miss that thing at all after getting rid of it.
