In JJOSXL it says that the chord settings are written to the flash ROM right? So that means its not saved with SYSTEM SETUPS file or in the PAD MODE ASSIGN, just written into flash ROM. I figured I have to save a chord setting in PAD MODE ASSIGN or at least system setting but its seems not, just write to flash ROM.

Hmmmmmm, so that means if i was to make all the chords of a key i can only do 8 major scales, but not have room for minor scale chords. or the ability to change them back and forth is that right guys??

I mean i can work around it, if i know what key i want and make chords for that key but if i want to flip keys with and have my mapped out chords. Make sense?? I could and not use every interval of the different keys but i kinda want every interval. 16 pads is great for 8 chords of a key. 2 keys per bank, but i kinda would love to be able to swap keys around alot. I should just choose, but then if i fancy another key or write something else, i gotta reassign the different chords to make another key instead of being able to just load another set or bank of chords for that other major/minor key. I mean i can do every interval of every major scale in 64 pads, but kinda wanna do the minor scales now lol, so ws wondering what to do.

Might mean a request to i guess, to be able to save chord assigns separately! to make room for all major minor keys as well as other ways to have chords assigned.

Yeah i just loaded both SYSTEM SETTINGS and PAD MODE ASSIGN and both have no bearing on chord assign at all it seems.

I can not understate how good it is to work out all the right chords of a scale and set them up. good stuff. just remeber the old roman numeral thing. I ii iii IV ect.

yeah thanks TYPO, how would you like it implemented? I think a separate chord memory save file. I do not think it could be saved as pad assign. I mean i do not know for sure but it seem as it would conflict with pad settings right. So i think Chord bank memory that can be named, saved and loaded with different named files. So that way we can track chord banks. Say for minor or major scales, we could saved two files in a project of each chord lib we make. I was thinking that would be the way to go.
What does every one else think??
It would be good but not essential, though it would save heaps of time. Also anothr consideration is the fact we can then share chord bank settings with another MPC using JJOSXL. So, this means that a project can be shared and the chord bank will be able to be loaded and then the second MPC would have the same chord bank used say in a song/project

UPDATE > This has made me want to request one more thing and i think most of you will like it. request the bank select foot switch option to CYCLE as well as just bank select a chosen bank..... Seems a little but very useful addition that would not use much resources IMO. I do not think any one else has thought this request before. I mean that would work for chords in scales and sample banks. you get me? means i have to buy another foot switch as i usually have it set to Rec + play, but would be mad. just hit foot switch and every hit goes to next bank, say Bank C to Bank D, hit foot switch again and back to pad bank A.
I have set minor and major scale chords mapped over 2 banks and am using footswitch to change bank, so this way your chord progressions can be banged out and you just go up pads to say relative minor scale, (lol, i am thinking might do it other way as it seems wrong to have minor on top, but thats the way i did it) then use foot switch to change bank and then i have another related key mapped out the same with minor scale of chords to. So good to be able to cycle the pad select infinitely with foot switch, as you bang out chords + footswitch for record + play.
