MPC1000/2500 X-Large LCD w/modified JJOS

Got to give it up to MPCStuff on this one. Really looks like the Mp 2500 with this screen and JJ is the new machine to beat. Diggin it the most. I thought about this all night. I might have to get a new Mp just for this...

On another note: If you guys made a new batch of the fat pads, why not make a set of original gray without the logo? I know that was a big topic when the originals dropped.

This is what has been buggin me. My Mp is my portable sampler. I wrap it in a towel and cram it in my backpack. It's the sampler I can throw on my shoulder and take anywhere with no worries. I want this screen, but I really don't see it being that portable. Now if you could take it on and off... And if I could have my cake...

That's what I'd like to see as well, fat pads in the lighter grey color that the MPC1000, 2500, and MPK's ship with from the factory.

I will be getting the large screen for my 2500 though, that will take it into MPC4000-sized screen real estate.

I thought I had responded to this multiple times. I assume you dont have the pads, the logo is not noticeable or feel-able when playing. I have MANY people email mad because they installed them upside down because they did not notice the logo. If you really find it that bothersome that our logo is on them you can use 1000+ grit sandpaper (with water while doing it) and it will sand right off with no damage or sign on the pad surface that it was there before.

I will make sure that will happen. It is removable quite easily. I will show you some of my solidworks 3d designs in the next few weeks showing how it will all work. It will have two alternative attach methods. One of which will be for better portability and the other will be more for the one that sits in the studio.

I will think over the "Screen-hole cover", it will be simple just have to get the idea on paper.

The 2500 doesnt have the logo on the pad front. As for lighter grey, probably wont happen anytime really soon. We got TONS of request for the older darker color grey because people liked it better. I am with you, I like the lighter grey better but we have to go with the masses or we would end up with pink color pads (yes, people have actually asked)

And as for the complaints on the logo on the fat pads, c'mon reel it in fellas- there are plenty of other threads where that dead horse has been beaten...let's try to keep this thread strictly on the big ass honkin' mammajamma screen they're working on.

I gotta say.. I know I aint been on the board lately or as much as I used to.

But it's nice to come back and see this kind of interaction between a company that creates products for the devices we use and the users who actually use them.

i think this would sell just as much as the larger screen... if mpcstuff hasn't already considered this for the mpc1000, they definitely should... i've already seen multiple people request it in just this thread alone...

perhaps even offer a kit which is just the plastic tilted frame and a longer cable for the LCD, so that people could modify their mpc1000 with their current LCD screen and save some $$$ in the pimping process... feel free to steal that idea as well.

im pretty positive it would sell well also, mpc stuff, if we started a petition for a regular sized LCD tilt for the 1k, screen similar to the one the 2500 has and we got enough people interested would you consider producing something similar?

It's a shame the bezel couldn't have been made a bit smaller. A lot of the "clunkiness" would have been lost if they had.
