Whenever i install JJOS, the volume during playback and in general is very low. I don't understand why. This does not happen when i revert to the original OS. Please help, i would much rather use the JJOS, it is so much better. Thank you.

maybe the master output is low when you install jjos?

push mode + other and put it at -6 or 0

If you are using programs created in the Akai OS esp. V1 you will have to readjust all the levels as the gain structure was changed, along with other things.

Programs and sequences always sound best when played back with the OS they were created with.

Maybe i worded it wrong. I was not using programs created in the original OS. I as just trying to record some drums on the JJOS 3.13 version. In that version all the sounds are extremely low. This is irking me, i really want to use that OS.

i think the Akai OS has the compressor on the master out by default... that's probably what's causing it if you already adjusted the master out settings internally... it's obviously not a hardware issue if you're getting it louder when switching... i'm almost positive it's just the compressor...

Do you mean i need to add a compressor to JJOS 3.13? It is not a hardware issue. The volume is normal either on Akai OS or JJOS demo. Just messes up on the 3.13

the INTERNAL compressor in the MPC... akai os has it turned on by default and jjos has it turned off... in JJOS press MODE+pad11 and in the output tab you can switch the compressor on the master output from off to on.

as mentioned in my previous post... you need to go into the last tab in the mode+pad11 screen which is for the output settings...

There is no output tab with a master function on pad 11. Are you sure this is the same on JJOS 3.13. Pad 11 shows each pad and option to tune, play mode and overlap. I fixed the volume issue, i think it was pad sensitivity. But, i would still like to turn on the internal compressor if you know where it is?
Thanks for the help.

also, you should be more specific with what os you're using. JJOS 3.13 is different than JJOS2XL 3.13......

I have the free JJOS 3.13 for the Akai 1000. I found the master compressor and it is in the effect pad which is number 12.

Sorry for the confusion.
