AGAIN, I ask you OP, WHAT DATA EXACTLY is it you want to edit. If it is the MPCs filter cut-off then its different to MIDI CC data isnt it?? Or do you not know this??
).
its probably better to explain what I want to achieve, and you explain the way to do it. I would like to add automation to my filter cutoff, or track volume. by this, I mean I want to for example have an 8 bar sequence running and I want to gradually open or close the filter over these 8 bars.
I find the easiest way to do this to use a slide, or a knob.
when I hit mode-a01 I can assign the slide to the cutoff. I go back to main, and hit record, move the slidere around during the sequence, then hit after and now I can hear the filter slowly open and close. great. that's what I want, But! it seems this is only applied when in the main screen, cos if I go to the track mixer, the filter movement stops. I go back to main and it starts moving again. not good. also, how can I see or edit the values which were recorded...
I started talking about midi cc because on other gear, this goal is implement ed by recording z midi cc data, and assigning it to modulate the filter cutoff. but on the mpc it looks like the q slide position data is recorded differently than midi cc.. is that True? I know where to fins the midi cc data and edit it but the recorded slider movement doesn't seem to be there.
can I do a kind of 'midi learn ' or other assignment to modulate filter cutoff by an arbitrary Cc? in this way I could record and edit the cc. hopefully it would also be applied in all pplayback modes and screens
