MICROKORG + MPC2KXL

I'm trying to connect my Microkorg to add a few basslines here and there but for some reason everytime I try recording a sequence on the MPC, the Microkorg switch program and goes back to the first one.

-Microkorg Midi Out to MPC 1 In / Microkorg Midi In to MPC out A
-MPC + Microkorg outs to mixer
-Choose the program I want to use on my Microkorg
-Got a few different tracks with my drums, samples etc. Set another track to MIDI & 1A-Device01 on the MPC

... and while I press record on the MPC that's when my Microkorg switch to the first program in memory.

Any idea what I'm missing here?

Also, another stupid question, I've noticed the Microkorg sounds can be played by the MPC pads too, so while recording a bassline, do you use Microkorg or MPC pads?

edit: Forgot to put Program Off on the MPC ... so problem solved!

lamp, you're correct about the microkorg... only on channel at a time... or did you already know that and just wanted to hear him repeat it?
