how about a public thank you? you deserve one. thank you for this. you are helping to ensure the ongoing life and relevancy of the jjos compatible MPCs.

does anyone know if anything like this has even been done before in the history of electronic musical instruments? the 1k and 25k have been turned inside out.

why you (mpcstuff) could not add more buttons/knobs infinite rotatory into tilt screen to add new features jj?

or.... that's the next step ....!!!!!!??

you mpcstuff.... prepare spares / parts for all types for sell! :lol: .

that nothing can stop!!!!!

The button interface is a very simple matrix, honestly I think JJ would be the best person to consult on any interface changes...I'm sure he has an inkling on where the OS could be streamlined with dedicated buttons..

It looks like a nice upgrade for the 1000 & 2500. Is the screen the same size or bigger then the 5000? Sorry if this was answered a few pages back. I didnt read all 12 pages.

Def nice to see something like this being made for the 1000 cause that's a very small screen. I've been very spoiled with my 5000 screen. :mrgreen:

Whether this is good or bad still remains to be seen, especially with the non-tilt on the 1k.
Seems like a lot of add on for such a small box, I hope I'm wrong.
I love the thought of a tilted screen more than the additional size but if it's not too obtrusive both points could be nice.

Mike I hope you find the means to offer a cost effective case for the modified units.
That angle and screen could be great in live performance but safe transport is still important.

I use the 1k instead of the 2500 because it's smaller, the taller screen makes me wonder if going back to the 2500 wouldn't be a more user friendly footprint?

Looks like all the diehard 1k Akai OS users now have a double edge sword to deal with, using the JJ OS now means software and hardware improvements.

There's a one in a million chance of you answering this right now, but what else have you been working on?! Something 1k/2500 related? :)

It seems like the only place left to go is an internal boost of some kind, and having seen this screen maybe it's a possibility??

All the who...?!? :shock: :lol:

People not willing to come out of pocket $200.

Jjos 3.13 = FREE.
Jjos1 = 59$.
Jjos2 = 59$. (needs os1 bought)
Jjos2xl = 123$. (if any other jjos bought, you get price reduction)

Dunno where you got 200$ from? Even the free jjos is miles better than the latest akai os... Get to know!
