MPC 3000 MMC issues / sequencer?

Hi,

I love this site more and more each day.

I found a 3k and had to buy her. It was a trek, but worth it.

The MPC works nicely, (however 2 of the number buttons need replacement, which is annoying)

The more problamatic issue is the play record buttons. The buttons work, and every time they say "MMC" started or something, but it does not always start recording the sequencer.

So maybe the midi clock works, but something else is going on. Any suggestions or ideas?

I am at work, I was thinking of turning off the MMC, to see if that helps?

stolen from another site:

"`OTHER` and select `Init PAR`"

This will reset it.

No need to reset anything, just hold the STOP key and press PLAY to engage/disengage MMC. Record mode can't be entered when using MMC.
