The cable that I need is the Y cable. 2 1/4 inch jacks that go into the MPC's record ins and on the other end, the headphone jack that goes into my macbook. I'm trying to find the cable but I'm having a hard time. Can someone please link me to a page where I can buy! Thanks

you can get an RCA cable the red white and yellow ones to a headphone jack, and on the red and white ones you can get an RCA to 1/4 inch adapter, thats what i do.

both can be had at radio shack.

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding stereo minijack to quarter inch analog cables or adapters to make one.

Since you have the Macbook pro, you also have the more expensive/better sound quality direct digital option through s/pdif. For a combined stereo in/out this requires two optical toslink cables to connect to the pro, an optical to coaxial s/pdif converter such as the Maudio CO2 to run in between and a pair of coaxial RCA video or s/pdif cables to connect to the 2500's digital RCA in/out connectors.

I just had problems finding a good Y cable for a decent price. I made an ebay account and bought it from there.

As for exporting from USB via mac to mpc, I will be doing that but I what if I can't be bothered and just want to sample a live sound? Thats my reason.

Thanks for help
