i will be performing using a simplified setup (laptop, launchpad, Hollowbook) live on my street (lots of nightlife) to get my performance game up. there is a constant flow of traffic at night and i'd like to harness that.

i need a battery pack/cell whatever they are called.
anyone have experience with these?

ease of transport
plenty of battery life

^ this could be perfect. if i am reading right it seems to have outlets, so i could power my other gear. that's essential.
edit, correction, it doesn't have AC outlets...i don't think they make portable speakers with AC outlets.

a small electric generator will be the same, if not less than any decent battery powered joints. And its multi function, not just for busking.

That way you can use any speakers (or gear) you want. Then take it camping, or power your essentials during a zombie invasion.

Really though.

jonestown, that's exactly what i've found in the course of researching this...
go for a little generator or battery pack + some powered speakers or a boombox...
i'm off to amend my title.

anyone know of a good battery cell to use for this type of thing??

nym in my construction days we had one and im pretty sure it had outlets but maybe im wrong...I think you'd be better off with some type of portable generator. as with that boombox you'd need to buy few batteries to keep it running and powering all your gear

^ that is not the first time i have been referenced jokingly as a one man band on these forums.

i'm looking at stuff like these... don't know which one though. i see a picture where someone is powering a full TV off one of these, which i imagine/hope takes more power than a soundcard, laptop, midi controller, and set of speakers.

sucks that these things are non-returnable, too, so i can't even test it out. just gotta spend ~$125 and hope it works.
