I have sampled a number of bass lines from a synth and they don't synch up to the length of the bar. They continue to keep playing into the next bar. How would I be able to stop the sample once the next bar begins?

option 1: set the decay of the sample really high until it stops when u want

option 2: set the program that your sample is in to mono, then on beat one of the next bar record a pad that has no sample on it (from the same program).
This way the original sample will stop because it will get cut off by the blank one.
