Using MPC 2000XL Parts for MPC 1000??

My MPC 1000's (Blue/Red) pads are gonna die soon and I was wondering if any of the spare parts off a 2000XL would fit the 1000 (particularly the pads). I don't know the specifics along the lines of circuitry but it seems like these two models are pretty similar. Funny how a broken 2000XL could be cheaper than this new pad set. Anyways, any response would be awesome!

the pads are not the same size.. neither is the sensor sheet.. and if the 1000 has the old dud pad design still installed in it... then it isn't the same pad design either.

You can swap the jog wheel though.

lol...just messing with yah..but no they aint nowhere near compatible.

mpd16 fsr sensors work in the akai mpc1000 padfix pcb, but you have to mod your case.

Thanks everyone, I couldn't remember how the pads were different, I felt like the 2k's were bigger but I figured I'd ask. I've never actually messed with the 2kxl so yeah, I suck lol thanks for not jumping all over me. Much appreciated!
