Actually Akai did listen....but with mixed results depending on who you talk to. This forum had a big impact on the development of the MPC 5000 OS2.0. Many of the feature requests came directly from this forum. I hope Akai releases an OS update for MPC 5000 users. That MPC has so much potential.

Also....Akai is listening to forum feedback in developing the MPC Ren. It has already been discussed in several threads.

In the end....if you don't want to buy an MPC...simply don't. There are plenty of alternatives that are built better, last longer, and have better operating systems. (*I just can't think of any off the top).

They're probably listening because they see how JJ benefits off of customer feedback, requests, and suggestions.

well the stock 500 os was better then my stock 1000 os, if it wasnt for jj, that 1000 would have been out the door.. yes, i did expect at least something
