What up fam?

Lately I've been using Ableton more and more together with the MPC. Since mobility is always very important to me I've installed Live 7 also on my laptop.
Right now I'm using it together with my mpc1000 when I'm on the move.
I actually want to swap the 1000 for an MPD for practical use. (Smaller footprint, no midi/usb addapter, don't need a power outlet, and no, no mpc 500 cause I want 16pads)

I'm quitte intrested in the MPD24 or 26. Since I really want a play and start button the MPD18 is not an option for me. Also not very intrested in the MPD32 because of it's large footprint.

While doing my research I found some stories online about the MPD not working properly with Ableton Live. So I was wondering what your experiences are with the MPD and the MPD in combination with Live. Or would you rather recommend me something else to control Live?

In case you would recommend me an MPD and have experience with them, is there any reason why I would pick the one over the other? The MPD24 might be my favourite because of those 8 knobs instead of 6 knobs on the 26. Not a note repeat and tap tempo guy, so not dying to really get the 26 unless people really claim it's more stable of course.

Choices, choices, choice.

Been checking this dude out for a minute now, he uses 2 mpd's with live, the 26 seems to be easier to get a hold of. There is also the padkontrol, you can do a lot more mapping and stuff if you have the time................

I'm pretty sure that you can get different presets for live also, the live forums are a pretty good place to get some of your questions answered, if live was not so resource intense i probably would switch from reason.

Dude knows how to rock!

Crossings:
APC is dope too. Might want to have one in the near future, but I really meant something to trigger samples instead of clips. Just to keep that mpc feel.

Thanx for the anwers. It will probably be an MPd 26

EDIT:
Got the MPD26. Works perfectly on my desktop and laptop with Live. No problems what so ever. Was a bit affraid for that since there are a lot off peeps on the internet having problems getting all the faders assigned and such.
