Connecting MPC 2000xl to Ableton Live 8 suite

Hello all!

I'm a wet behind the ears newbie to producing and would like to sync my MPC 2000xl to Ableton for mixing purposes. I purchased an M-Audio Uno, thinking that was all I needed. I'm wondering if I need an actual USB interface for all of this to work or anything else for that matter lol. Any help is greatly appreciated!

He does not need a midi cable that's what the uno is for. I have 3 or 4 of them. Unos are midi to usb cables. What it sounds like he needs are audio cables.
