Do you use the S10 just as MIDI keyboard or as sampler? Any QuickDiscs?
You might know this already but the S10 is one of those samplers that really send the input thru the AD to the DA so you dont have to actual sample on this machine to get "the sound" . You can hear this clearly when you feed it with a signal and monitoring it while choosing the samplerate.
People often say they use this technique with the AKAI s900/950 but this is wrong cause the monitoring signal of these samplers doesn't hit any AD/DA converter.

There's software to send files to the s900 memory from pc via midi cable, they just need to be the right sample rate. Doing this does go through at least the DA converter I believe.

I did'nt know that, shiiit.
Thank you! It always took me few minutes to get all my sounds well resampled.
I use it as my drum sampler and midi keyboard because I sold one to buy this.
The keys are much more ,,friendly"? I hope that you know what i mean.
Unfortunately my quick disc station doesn't work. The guy i bought it from sold me broken.

I wanted to buy BCF but found this one really cheap.
Works great, at first i had some power problems because i put the cable in too deep.
I tried to have mackie control emulation working, but it seemed pointless. Couldn't find any good preset. Making my own would take me so much time cause i know shit about programming.
I just made preset for cubase that fits me(24 knobs for volume, 24 encoders as pan/solo, 16 buttons for mute, 4 as transport buttons) and i've got a lil bit real music feel when I mix.

I do too but for some reason I'm more productive when things are out of place. :smoker:

Records on the floor, a piece of equipment on the floor that you don't normally use or some cables running from something to sample it.

Never really found a reason why. :hmmm:

after some major reconstructive surgery....this is where i'm at.
im using the MBP for SSL and just got the 24 inch acer monitor to use instead. picture isnt as sharp but the big screen is dope---i just need to figure out a way to push the monitor back 6-12 inches. there is a rack somewhere in the picture with a m-audio delta 10x10. the rest of the stuff is visible. there is also a $100 MTX(?) mic behind the acer. i broadcast twice a week from here on http://www.powaradio.com. the best hip hop show ever as far as im concerned tues & thur 9-11pm est... pardon the promo. after 20 years of moving and redecorating, i like this set up the best.
